Reiki is a form of energy healing developed in 1922 by a Japanese Buddhist. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us. During a Reiki session, a Reiki practitioner lightly places hands above or on the client to activate a client's energy to promote the healing process in one's body.
